Shoppers can add up to 3 photos. They're resized in the browser before upload and stripped of location data before we store them.
Publish, unpublish, delete or reply publicly. Set an auto-publish rule, and spam-looking reviews are always held for you.
An app embed adds Product JSON-LD with your average rating and recent reviews, so search engines can show review stars.
Ratings are saved to Shopify's standard product rating fields, so themes that show stars on product cards pick them up automatically.

What Mint Reviews won't do
Reviews only work if shoppers can believe them.
We never generate, write or pre-fill reviews. Your store starts at zero, like it should.
We don't read your orders, so we don't label anyone a "verified buyer". When we can verify it properly, we'll add it.
Reviewers appear as first name and last initial. Emails are optional and only you can see them.

Questions merchants ask
Does Mint Reviews add fake or sample reviews?
No. There are no seed reviews, generated reviews or review-writing tools. Every review on your store is one a shopper submitted, or one you imported from a real export. The CSV importer asks you to import genuine reviews only.
Is there a “verified buyer” badge?
Not in this version. Verifying purchases would mean reading your customers' orders, and we chose not to request access to that data. Rather than show a badge we can't back up, we show none.
Can I choose which reviews go live?
Yes. Publish everything straight away, publish only 4★ and 5★ automatically and check the rest, or approve every review yourself. Held reviews wait in your queue — nothing is thrown away. Please moderate for spam and abuse, not to hide honest criticism: suppressing negative reviews misleads shoppers and can break consumer-protection law.
Does it send review request emails?
Not yet — it's the next feature on our list. For now, reviews are collected by the form on your product pages.
Will it slow my store down?
The star badge is pure Liquid with no JavaScript. The reviews block renders its first page server-side and loads one small deferred script that only does work when a shopper sorts, filters, pages, votes or writes a review.
What happens on the Free plan after 50 reviews?
Your 50 published reviews stay live. New reviews are kept in your queue until you unpublish an older one or upgrade to Pro. Nothing is deleted.
